Never underestimate the amount of bootlickers who will happily support their own exploitation because they hope and believe that one day they’ll be the ones wearing the boots.

I guess I never realized how many anti-union folks were in these comments.
I’d be curious what percentage of EV owners have actually used public charging. I have a Bolt EUV, and I have never used a public charger.
I once waited 45 minutes for a Culver’s order.
Popeye’s has really good chicken sandwiches (for fast food) and really bad service (for anything). They can take a lesson from Culvers...slow down JUST A LITTLE and get it right.
I am no longer a freelancer, I’m officially a staff writer now. Full time.
My old account was locked when I left a year and a half ago. I’m sure they could theoretically be connected again, but I don’t think it matters much. *shruggies*
Hi, I wrote this. I currently live in a condo that shares the parking lot of an RTA station in Cleveland, OH. I take the train all the time, especially to and from the airport. I walk to most places I need to go. Most other times I ride my electric motorcycle.
It doesn’t matter what it takes to operate a company if the company is making a profit. That’s a red herring. Whatever that number is, GM make $13b MORE than that number. If they took just 10% of that profit and gave it to the 146,000 workers, that’s $8,900 per worker. That’s not a paltry sum. What should Ford do?…
You can weld stamped steel for a quick fix or weld in a “Fix” if you figure it out before production. Much cheaper than a new die.
This is almost the exact conversation my wife & I had last night about the ‘gigacasting’ thing. We are a blast at parties, I can assure you.
VW Bug used to have the entire undertray stamped out of one piece of metal. One of the reason they could float for a while.
It’s because the point of it all isn’t to blow shit up just for funsies. That’s the side benefit for the ten year-old inside of Elon. The point is to siphon off tens of billions of dollars in US government contracts. And you can’t do that from Bum Fuck Equator island.
I had the same experience. My insurance would have gone up by about 1K a year for a model 3 instead of an ID4. Any gas savings goes out the window.
Tesla probably requires approved body shops to maintain warranties or some nonsense like that. Let’s be real though, the average body shop is probably gonna have better paint and panel alignment than Tesla does from the factory.
That’s some thorough research right there.
And that’s why EVs aren’t the answer to everything. Reducing use is absolutely an essential part of keeping humanity in existence.
GMP, I hate doing all the paperwork, but this kind of thing (amongst, many, many others) is why it exists.
The rapid advancement of EV tech puts has put us into a bizarro world wherein putting bigger motors into cars also increases their range. Not going to complain about it.
