The CX-50 is slated to receive Toyota hybrid tech soon-ish, if reports are to be believed. It’ll probably spread to the rest of their lineup. I’d imagine the 3 will have it here eventually as it already does in Japan.

Mazda. Bought a 2008 Mazda3 hatchback in August 2009 sort of on a whim before starting college. It was a former dealer loaner and only had 12,000 miles somehow. I kept it for almost seven years and the only issues I ever had were a brake light switch that cost $10 and a motor mount that was liquid filled and started…
Tesla is not exactly known for their customer service.
It’s not just the last 10 months. I read stories about pilot shortages 5 years ago.
This. Pilot pay is fucking bullshit peanuts these days.
The boomers (and previous generations) got flight training from the military. Current flight students have to pay a flight school.
Part of the larger jump for diesel vs gas is a loss of refining capacity. Refining capacity dropped from covid, along with issues even before the pandemic. Diesel requires additional refining for reducing the sulfur content, and some of the supplies for those processes are feeling the effects of the supply change…
I’m also looking forward to Mike Meyer’s new series The Pentaverate and that Lincoln Lawyer series (both Netflix). I’m cautiously optimistic on both.
After a recent experience buying a new car I totally get why CarMax works, total pain in the ass, dealer tried to tack on extras, even though we total qualified for the promo interest rate they first tried to get us to agree on a different financing deal. Took twice as long as it should have. In my opinion they were…
I was told 20+ years ago to avoid getting used cars from Texas because they were lax in reporting major problems with them.
My F150 got stuck on the way down so I had to spend another 8 bucks on a Mirage to knock it loose.
“What am I missing?”
Exactly...that there is a SeaSucker rack and they make one to accommodate surf boards and paddle boards. Don’t throw out the baby just to enjoy the salt water.
I do, too, but it makes sense. It’s the only way they can justify developing and offering a variant that will likely sell in the teens or single-digits.
I kinda miss the old days when a manual trans was the base transmission, not one you had to pay up for (in trim level, at least).
A 1993 Integra sold new for about $18k... also about $36k in today’s weak-ass dollar.
Speed doesn’t make much difference anymore. After all, a typical EV will smoke the GTI in a stoplight race.
That’s one of the things I love about IPAs: You can drink them slowly and they taste better and better as you go on.
