While true, the concept of hailing a cab at major hubs with something as simple as a wave or a wait in line worked well. The fact that Uber pivoted to food delivery, scooters, AI driving, and who knows what else tells you how successful that “disruptive” idea of hailing rides from anywhere truly is.

Well said. I used to travel for work quite a bit and in some parts of America Subway truly was the freshest thing I could eat. I always prefer a local joint over any chain, but the chains are what you get in some places.

Still a lot of those in New England. Even with an influx of regional and national chain auto repair centers, every town generally has one combo gas/service center. In my town southwest of Boston, 3 out of 4 gas stations have service bays.
