Data is an over valued commodity.  Oh, that GPS app on the drivers phone is collecting data.  Great.  It does nothing to solve the actual problems of a vehicle navigating public roads with other drivers.

Still needs some CRISPR to really change the paradigm.

Yeah, thank God for cheap housing, education, and healthcare.  Pretty easy to get by in this fantastic country thanks to the cheap consumer goods.

Then you've never been to Providence, RI. Faith and Family are stalwarts on the local circuit.

$20k per year?  Jesus, that’s ridiculous.

I’m sure they drove it, they just took the time to put it on jacks and reverse the miles off after really enjoying it.

LOL.  And yes, 100% of transactions happen from a phone, it’s like hailing an Uber.  Close all the stores Scotty!

There is a rather big difference.  Tesla takes money up front for something to be delivered at a future TBD date.  Big Jim’s Chevy and Lube might use some deceptive advertising techniques to get people to come to the dealership, but I have yet to see the exisiting OEM that takes my money up front for a sight unseen

A friend of mine has a daughter playing “elite” club soccer, which seems to be necessary to make the high school team in my suburban Boston area. The cost to just join the team is $1500 and then you have to pay for travel costs. They recently played a tournament in Maryland that involved flights to BWI and two nights

I liked that horse racing was brought into this essay. Once the sport of kings, it’s an essentially dead sport that only hard core gambling addicts follow. The exception is perhaps one or maybe three televised events as part of the Triple Crown. I love horse racing, but it’s pace is slow and the gambling rules are

I need the laptop in case I work from home or need to plug back in at night.

I wish this were true in Boston.  I never take in weeknight games at the Garden anymore.

The Celtics implemented a policy against bringing in laptop bags years ago with nowhere to check them.  I have ceased going to Celtics games after work as a result.

Dang.  I’m paying less than a third of that to insure two vehicles in suburban Boston.

I'll tell you that the cost is too high for me. Red Sox tickets are stupid expensive and Worcester just gifted a team $100 million for the favor of moving from Pawtucket. Where's the cheap bleacher seats and suds I was promised?

Fuck Philly.  But that was a fun game.

Correct.  This time they’re asking for $2500 non-refundable “payment” to complete your purchase.  They’re using Elon’s rabid fan base as unsecured creditors to improve their cash balance.  I don’t think it’s going to work at sufficient scale this time.

Tripps whistle blower case is still proceeding with the SEC. This typically stops the release of public updates until it’s conclusion.

This is so damn odd, because admissions people definitely want famous people like William Macy strolling around campus and helping to raise it’s profile.
