Not Apu speak, but she was the "typical" buttoned-up Indian co-worker. A far cry from what her character eventually became.

I've seen the episode as well, and while it does superficially make Arthur seem old and senile, the humor is most definitely rooted in the foreign-ness of a name like Sanjib.

I think the deliberate choice in making this a vigilante thriller-comedy helps this film stand out. Without the dark humor, it basically becomes a middling Blue Ruin clone, and I'm relieved that the director avoided that.

I understand the sentiment because it kind of kills the anticipation factor. I think there's an implied "direct-to-video" feel once Netflix puts their tag on it. And admittedly I think that hurt the reception for Beasts of No Nation.

I know exactly what you meant by the ending scene, but I'm glad it was a misdirect. I think an uplifting ending was needed because the subtext of the movie is so unforgivingly grim.

Is there going to be a Spoiler Space for this movie? Because wow, there was so much to unpack in the last 45 minutes.

Totally unnecessary remake, but if it helps get the Raid 3 finished I'll allow it.

I really had my doubts as to how this episode would play out. Chappelle's Show was so edgy and of its time. I didn't think his style of humor would translate to SNL. But I was proven wrong. This couldn't have been any better or more perfectly timed.

Hi AJ

This comment is very underrated.

Wow, were we all so naive in 2013?

Far and away the best CD I ever picked up from the $1 bin.

This article reminded me that I was also part of the throng of teenagers that bought this CD in a shopping mall. Haven't thought about this soundtrack in a good 10 years.

The biggest mistake you can make going into this is expecting another Buzzard. This was more of an actor's showcase for Ty Hickson.

I believe it was to drive home the point that Luke hates swearing, even on beloved rap songs.

Orange Dude is not the preferred nomenclature. Tropicana American, please.

He was on screen in the Revenant but I don't recall him having any lines.

Patton Oswalt and Jerry Stiller made King of Queens bearable.

The Family Stone had another bait and switch nestled within the title itself.
