That's definitely true, but this is a TV show written by professional writers, so I figure they of all people would be aware that first-time "literary" novelists can't quit their day jobs. It doesn't bother me all that much but I thought there might be a better answer that I'd forgotten.

Good interview, and excited for the new season!

Those three for sure, and I'll add Please Like Me. I wonder if it even has fewer viewers (at least in the U.S.) than Rectify.

Love Rick and Morty and love Bulletstorm. Just wish I had the money or space in my house for a VR setup. Maybe in a few years!

Ironically all the people who like Ghostbusters too much and were worried it would be "tainted" by this new movie ended up tainting it themselves. How does anyone ever talk about Ghostbusters again without remembering all the awful shit the so-called fans did in its pathetic, unnecessary defense?

I always figure write it like you'd pronounce it. In this case, I'd pronounce it as "serious-es films" so I'd write it as "Serious's films".

Please Like Me is one of my favorite sitcoms. Very consistently funny.

Second Sight and If Looks Could Kill were two of my favorite childhood movies. I never spent a minute thinking about The Goonies or Star Wars but I loved those movies. On reflection I guess I was pretty weird.

When I was young I always thought I'd keep pace with changes in pop culture and never become an old fogey stuck in my ways, but I've sampled most of Comedy Central's recent output and the only show in this article that consistently makes me laugh is Idiotsitter. I so badly wanted to love Broad City and Inside Amy

I do honestly believe Donald Trump does not want to be President. Not in the sense that he wants to lose and is losing on purpose — I think he wants to win — but in that I think he'll delegate almost all responsibility to others, and in that sense would really rather not actually be the President and take on all that

I'm a Hillary supporter, and I have to admit John Kasich would likely have defeated her easily. Trump was the people's choice because the people don't vote in their own best interests.

But I have to believe eventually the demographics of the country may change in such a way that xenophobia and white supremacy — i.e. the foundation of Trump's "platform" — will be even less politically viable than they are now. I say I have to believe this because otherwise I may go crazy. But yes 2020 is going to be

As a Clinton supporter, I would hate to see Trump drop out, as I think any other candidate the Republican party could get out there would be seen as such a relief that he'd easily win.

If she did any one of the many, many ridiculous things Trump has done this election she would be metaphorically tarred and feathered. I'm not saying Trump is "getting away with it" because I think he will lose in a landslide, but he is certainly getting an easier go of it than she would with the same behavior.

Sad news. Please Like Me is certainly one of the best shows on TV. Really hope there is a legal and affordable way for me to see it now.

Between this review and Sepinwall's earlier this week, I have enough information to decide not to watch this show. Thank goodness! I haven't even started S4 of OITNB yet.

A few years ago I'd give promising-sounding shows a full season before deciding if I liked them enough to return for season 2, and that number keeps going down and down and down as the competition goes up and up. Six episodes. Three episodes. Two episodes. Sometimes I'll watch just the pilot and bail. Sometimes I

Me too, except now I'm worried people will get too complacent, voter turnout will suffer, and he'll end up winning anyway somehow.

I wish it was easier to read the 80s Suicide Squad because I think I'd dig it, but at least DC has finally started collecting it. I think they're about halfway through putting out trades? Of course the ideal way to read this, for me, would be if DC finally put out a "DC Unlimited" style service.

The Waxwork movies were my favorite dumb movies as a kid. I was very slightly obsessed with Waxwork II for a while. The concept that all of these different "movies" that the main characters were traveling between represented a type of video game between God and Satan was oddly resonant with me.
