“The Long Halloween” is my favorite Batman comic by far (and I*m surely not the only one there), so this is very exciting for me! Just a shame the artwork will differ, but I still can’t wait! The writing was great in the existing books.

Silently points at the Florida Man who taunted a sign prohibiting swimming in a harbor because of gators, by jumping in and promptly getting killed AND eaten by one.

Stupid whales, live in the ocean and can’t even breathe underwater!

Often the joke is supposedly to be “HA HA I HURT YOUR FEELINGS.” Then you tell them nobody fucking cares what they think and their opinions don't matter, and the ensuing meltdown is comedy gold.

Can liberal based humor be bad? Of course because everything can be bad. But right wing comedy is a special kind of bad specifically because it’s not really about being funny. What’s “funny” is not the content of a racist, but rather that it’s going to upset liberals “because” you made that racist joke.   And that’s

At the core of any good comedy is truth, and the right wing is dependent on avoiding basic known truths. “Isn’t it funny how all planes look like rubber bands” doesn’t work as a joke because it’s fundamentally removed from any sort of core relatable/universal experience that any successful humor depends on.

Could be that there is some tipping point where being capable of more nuanced satire means you have too many cerebral creases to remain a hard right nutcase.

At least be intellectually consistent.”

1. Does Alex Jones make any money off of this? If so, pretty much every cent (besides the absolute minimum expenses needed to survive at poverty level) should go to the victims he owes from his defamation case (which he cowardly declared bankruptcy to try and avoid).

I played the Alex Jones game so you don’t have to. AMA.

You don’t know anything about game development or working in general. Incredibly delusional post. Go experience some reality.

the flowers are cool and they are my friends. i will never silence them.

I lived through Sony 4/11. Never forget.

There’s something mildly disturbing about the Fortnite-ification of the American Military jerkfest that is COD. The game references real life events, conflicts where innocent people lost their lives. Seems to be a cognitive dissonance in my opinion to mix that with hip cartoon characters and pop divas with cute pink

because it has produced something where otherwise there would be nothing.

This isn’t democratization — it is wholesale destructiin of the the craftsman ecosyatem that develops artists, provides income for artist, and is the very well that these automated machines pull from to use as grist.

The thing is: Art is a skill and is, subsequently, difficult to learn and become proficient at. But all the same, most people CAN LEARN to become artists. It just takes time and effort to do it - the difference is if people *want* to put that time and effort into doing it.

How is “not everyone having enough money” for creating art a problem? Why should we be devaluing art?

It’s because, over time, we have been trained to eschew art and creativity as a fanciful whim.

Hire human beings/real artists, you sacks of shit.
