I think the most popular theory I’ve seen floated is that he’s Kuai Liang (the younger sub zero). Maybe hidden as a child to prevent him being found by Scorpion? Or he could just be a terrible, bland “perspective” character, seems 50/50.

I get some of the criticism, but I just came to say on a positive note I thought Aidan Gallagher absolutely stole the show this season. The soundtrack was massively on point as well.

I think part of the problem is the sheer heft that comes with implementing an idea in a game nowadays. Back in the Populus/B&W days you could come up with a crazy idea, set a team of 5-10 people to work on it and have results (good or bad) in a few months to a year. OK, even his older titles frequently hit delays but…
