I met and spoke with Chuck Yeager back in 2005. He was the keynote speaker at a convention we held in Cincinnati. While his introduction went long, he and I spoke for about 5 minutes, backstage. He was charming, down to earth, and still iconic. His keynote had some eventual message about teamwork, but was a back drop

Theaters are dinosaurs. They have been becoming more and more vestigial since home video. The streaming services may finally doom them from the future. It’s a shame, too. I used to manage a movie theater back in the 1980's and it was a fun job. Even then, most film enthusiast started heading home for better choices,

Three words to define their product and market: overweight, loud, and antiquated.  That should have limited their production long ago.

Just like a lot of Teslas... It got wrapped.

The grill area reminds me of early C10 Chevy trucks. The familiarity doesn’t look Ford on the face of it.

Damn... I cut a lot of yards to buy one of those consoles. The pop out controller that allowed mounted and hand held operation was a neat compromise of design. This thing was the hit of my rural neighborhood and only had two games. When we got kicked out of the house, that console got confiscated and probably trashed.

I watched the movie about John Z. Delorean on Hulu yesterday. The story covered the missing money that Delorean and Chapman “reacquired” during the creation of the DMC 12. Chapman owned this car during that time.

I still have two of these. Childhood fave.

Unpopular opinion... I like the powered safety belts on these era cars. It always felt like I was getting in a spaceship. My ‘91 Talon TSi had them and they never caused me any hassle but it’s robotic grasp also made me never wear a lap belt, which is very unsafe.

That white sauce was made famous by Bob Gibson’s BBQ up in Decatur, Al. It’s a relatively late addition to southern BBQ, His recipe won some TV competition and that got it replicated by every BBQ joint in the state. It has a mayo base and you can taste it. I personally think it tastes disgusting, and detracts from a

I’m from Alabama, originally. This is just local cops being lazy. They don’t want the hassle, work, or risks of doing their job. Don’t read too much more into it.

Simple rules of camo...

Neato! The use of wet packing tape appears to compose most of the complex curves and shapes. You can do a lot with wet paper tape. Its like structural paper mach’e.

From my “End of the World” checklist, this ranks in the top 10. Next, can we expect sky fires? If so, do I need to use the night sight filter for the best IG shots?

I had the mechanical version of a racing game from Tomy. It was called “Digital Derby” and it taught me a lot about mechanisms and linkages. All I needed was a screwdriver to lift the lid on this remarkably simple but challenging device. You can’t learn that way anymore. Everything interesting is now hiddenin a chip

Cash Cart?

Years ago, we got the same idea and decided to have a guerilla drive in movie theater. We used a similar setup with an inverter for the projector and the FM transmitter, which worked very well. But, we did this on the back walls of strip malls around town. The blank walls and empty parking lot sized spaces made for a

I’m waiting for the inevitable “Raptor” version with wide body, angry eyes, and a bazillion horsepower.

One of the few popular foods that commonly has all the food groups represented in one hand sized meal.

Yes! And why didn't we get the names of the shit bags that caused this? They should get outed for their shitty behavior.
