As somebody that’s had the misfortune of working on one of those things, I say good riddance. You have to pull the intake manifolds to do spark plugs/ignition coils, the vacuum system sits on top of the transmission bellhousing and requires an engine drop if something goes wrong there, need I say more?

Absolutely ND. Convertibles are a travesty, and performance convertibles are an oxymoron, especially when they’re based on a coupe and just have the roof cut off. The amount of extra structural bracing added still doesn’t compensate for the lack of rigidity, and it’s also extra weight. The E30 M3 is already a rattly

Seriously. People see what this dipshit says and agree with it wholeheartedly, why? The greatest delusion in the US is that billionaires even remotely give a shit about anybody that isn’t a billionaire.

“In a move that was a first for the park, a reservation system was implemented and it did help to limit the number of people getting into the park. But it turned out to be a headache: People were showing up trying to get in and arguing that they weren’t aware they needed a reservation; others went to local businesses

You mean to tell me the two companies still peddling giant pushrod engines aren’t meeting fuel economy standards?

Man, $15k budget for a teen’s first car? Must be nice.

I mean the E60 M5 is safe, you’ll do just fine if somebody plows into it while its on the side of the road with a blown motor.

Nope, still hate all of it. The last BMW designs that I actually liked were the E39 5-series, E38 7-series, E46 3-series, E53 X5, and Z3. Everything since then has been too big, too heavy, and too ugly.

You’d be surprised at how many Indian (that’s what I’m guessing based on the name, correct me if I’m wrong) dudes hold some pretty far-right views. I know people that work in tech in California and they say the same thing, that a lot of the Indian dudes there have a very sexist, right-wing perspective on everything.

The car I learned to drive in was a 2003 Toyota Sienna. The V6 was fast enough to get me in trouble, and it had enough room for me and my whole band at the time. That’s actually why I learned to drive, so I could go on tour, as living in NYC I really didn’t need a driver’s license otherwise. I didn’t consider myself a

What I’m not clear about is whether these are clean-sheet new vehicles or just extremely elaborate Singer-esque Defender restomods that use some of the original components.

I suspect that Motor Trend kinda kept this on the down low and didn’t make a big statement about it because they know that a not-insignificant amount of their viewership is comprised of trashy backwoods types who would start screeching about “cancel culture” and “woke nonsense” immediately. That’s not to excuse their

*looks at BMW* oh no!

BMW’s been disappointing me with their redesigns since 2003... the E60 5-series, E65 7-series, E63 6-series, all absolutely hideous. The E90 was passable. The early years of the F-chassis cars like the F30 and F10 were promising, as they toned down the Bangle insanity for a more conservative style that felt more like

They’re not unique or hidden to anybody that knows anything about cars, I’m talking stuff like brakes, suspension components, cooling systems, those need maintenance just like any other car. Electric motors have problems too, and the batteries don’t last forever. EV’s aren’t 100% maintenance-free like some people make

Yeah, to them the EV is the ultimate form of appliance, because then they don’t even need to do oil changes every 2 years (or less). Granted, EV’s have their own maintenance needs that everyone will soon find out about.

This just in: people who don’t like cars and want them to be appliances trade them in for newer cars that actually are appliances, shocking!

I dig the wheels and lowered ride height, just not a big fan of that hood. If it were a proper 6-speed manual it would be worth the asking price, but I’d have to knock a few grand off because of that SMG... it completely ruins the driving experience in my opinion, and adds a fair bit of unreliability into the mix.

It’s barely even lowered, that’s the real shame. If you have coilovers, put it on the ground, dammit.

Oh for sure. I still clean my interior on a regular basis, but at least I don’t have to worry about staining and whatnot.
