They’re not unique or hidden to anybody that knows anything about cars, I’m talking stuff like brakes, suspension components, cooling systems, those need maintenance just like any other car. Electric motors have problems too, and the batteries don’t last forever. EV’s aren’t 100% maintenance-free like some people make

Yeah, to them the EV is the ultimate form of appliance, because then they don’t even need to do oil changes every 2 years (or less). Granted, EV’s have their own maintenance needs that everyone will soon find out about.

This just in: people who don’t like cars and want them to be appliances trade them in for newer cars that actually are appliances, shocking!

I dig the wheels and lowered ride height, just not a big fan of that hood. If it were a proper 6-speed manual it would be worth the asking price, but I’d have to knock a few grand off because of that SMG... it completely ruins the driving experience in my opinion, and adds a fair bit of unreliability into the mix.

It’s barely even lowered, that’s the real shame. If you have coilovers, put it on the ground, dammit.

Oh for sure. I still clean my interior on a regular basis, but at least I don’t have to worry about staining and whatnot.

As a car mechanic, I love black interiors. Every single time I’ve had a car with a light interior it was a nightmare to keep clean.

RIP to that brave bird, fighting valiantly to keep Ohioans out of Arizona. There’s too many of them here already.

It’s a shame it doesn’t come with a 4 cylinder and a manual trans, that would be a proper homage.

My response to the “both sides are the same” argument is that yes, while there is widespread corruption and bribery happening on both sides of the aisle, at least one party isn’t actively trying to send human rights back to the fucking 1860's. At this point, being complacent with these insane right-wing lunatics is

For sure. I’m super niche in that I mostly work on BMW’s made from like 1972 to 2003, with a handful of late model BMW’s sprinkled in to make extra money. Somehow even with that narrow of a niche I have more work than I can handle.

You would think that, but that just hasn’t been the case in my experience. I used to be open on Saturday/Sunday when I first opened the shop (when you’re in your mid-20's you don’t need days off) and I barely got anybody coming by, despite advertising the fact that I was open on weekends. Maybe non-BMW people are only

As far as ZHP’s go, this is fairly reasonable. Due to the crazy following these have, normal E46 pricing doesn’t really apply. I regularly see these selling for $10k+ privately, and $15k+ on auction sites like Bring A Trailer.

Every BMW sold in the US got it as standard, so I wouldn’t think too much of it. Unless the car reeks of smoke.

I hope he finds somebody willing to take this on, and his offer is very generous.

Absolutely. I’m seeing this a lot with vintage BMW’s as well, there’s very few shops here in Phoenix, AZ that’ll touch a BMW that’s older than the mid-90's. I’m one of the only people that’s under the age of 50 that specializes in them, and most younger techs my age go to dealerships or independent shops that work on

E39 M5 is the best daily driver, if you can afford the gas it uses. I had one in 2016 and it was awesome. With 400hp from a wonderful 5L NA V8, you’re never left wanting for more power or torque. It’s got fantastic AC, a supremely quiet interior, excellent manners at triple-digit speeds, and very comfortable seats.

“The plane eventually landed without incident back in Las Vegas. An alternate crew took over from there, and the flight to Columbus was put back on track.”

I’m glad they cast an actual Brazilian dude to play a Brazilian dude, as opposed to making some American guy do a terrible accent to try and imitate him. I’m looking forward to watching this when it comes out, I recently re-watched the video of Senna taking an NSX around a track and the heel-toe-blip-throttle action

Close! It’s a BMW M50 straight 6. The naturally-aspirated RB’s are very similar.
