I had never heard of this movie or The Chair before reading this article, but I can only ask:

The duel in the book was basically the "Kill Bill" final battle. Not that that's a bad thing, but I can see how the filmmakers thought it lacked oomph.

I'm guessing he wanted it to happen, but he was like a brother to her.

I'm wondering how much time he spends regretting the decision to do "Extreme Ops" instead of "Final Destination 2".

I saw CAMP recently and was dismayed her part was so small. Her "Ladies who Lunch" number was great, though.

So, which Luc Besson are we going to get here? "La Femme Nikita" Besson, or "change the character names and locations in the Taken screenplay and call it a day" Besson?

Yowza wowza bo-bowza!

One of these days, Eunice! Ka-blam! Ka-splat! See that grave?

I didn't do it!

1 and 2 were based on unrelated novels. (The first one was actually based on "Nothing Lasts Forever" by Roderick Thorpe, which is itself a sequel to "The Detective", which was made into a movie starring Frank Sinatra. Die Hard 2 is adapted from "58 Minutes" by Walter Wager.)

The reason 5 doesn't work, IMO, is because there is no audience surrogate in it. 1 and 2 had McClane himself, an everyday guy in way over his head and using his resources. 3 and 4 had a more superhuman McClane, but you had Sam Jackson and Justin Long, respectively, along for the ride.

It's Roland Emmerich, so expect a sledgehammer-subtle take on American politics. Jamie Foxx is fun in his own way as a super-idealized Obama. Best part is this:

I'd go with Charles, just for being a dick and not wanting anything more to do with this.

If they make a 63 Up, I can't wait to see what Tony thinks of Uber.

I like his anecdote in 56 about when he gave Buzz Aldrin a ride, and a passerby asked him, not Buzz, for an autograph.

"I hated Maggie Thatcher before it was cool!"

With video game adaptations no longer in the hands of clueless executives who have no idea what a video game is, I hope they give a Mario movie another go.

What's even more amazing is that the Turtles movie that had Tyler Perry didn't do as well as the one that didn't.

Actually the movie "Identity" already did that.
