I don’t think there’s any President that can do it. The way our government works is that as soon as a new President is sworn in they pretty much immediately start prepping for re-election. And they need to pass policy that have an immediate effect in order to justify possible re-election.

Singling out social media won’t do much when Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump and multiple members of Congress are openly promoting racist conspiracy theories like “great replacement.” This isn’t fringe stuff anymore, it’s mainstream Republican ideology.  These attacks will only get more frequent.

Wow, great, a whole lot of fucking nothing. The Governor is more concerned about how easily it was streamed than this unhinged kid’s access to weapons and armor.

She also aimed some very clear and direct comments toward social media CEOs, focusing on online speech with a call for these platforms to do what is in their power to aid in preventing situations like this, saying:
