The LG Liam Neeson ad seemed like it should have been a winking, ironic 80's/Tron throwback, but instead was serious and non-ironic (like, it prominently featured a guy with an ulti-mullet, but not to comedic effect - what?). My conclusion from this is that it was created by an ad firm from a country that doesn't

The time I remember laughing out loud at this phenomenon in the theater was while watching Crazy/Beautiful.

I am cautiously optimistic that this will be great. It looks like it's got a different writing team vs. Prometheus, correct?

Ah, I remember buying super-cheap Guitar Hero and Rock Band sets during their going-out-of-business clearance sales. Good times!

I think you mean The Stupendous Yappi.

I think people were okay with the movie being a monster-of-the-week. But when it disappointed, and when it became clear that it might have actually been a franchise-killer, there was I think a pretty strong retroactive reaction of "so wait, *that's* what you went out with?

The Season 8 finale was really the logical endpoint. Mulder back, Scully delivers her baby, the two experience a moment of hope and light after so much darkness. Would have been a great ending to the show.

That George Bush moment is so weird and awkward. Same with the ending credits image of Mulder and Scully. Just emblematic of how messy this movie is.

Is it just me or could the new Ric/Charlotte Flair father-daughter heel duo totally be a scheming heel team on Wacky Races?

I think the escape scene from ROOM is at the top of my list. I was seriously sitting on the edge of my seat, barely able to breathe. Rarely have I rooted for a character so hard in a movie.

Because as we all know, comedy is objective.

Definitely disagree. This show is an over-the-top, absurdist comedy. I laughed a lot during this episode and thought it was cleverly put together. Lots of very funny lines. I don't know what you guys are talking about with Emma Roberts either - she kills it every week.

I kept thinking while watching this episode how on-point the dialogue was. It really was a fantastically-written episode.

Just going to put this out there: Naomi Watts' performance in this film is a legit candidate for greatest cinematic performance ever. Seriously, that audition scene … whoah.

Just saw this, and man, it might just be the movie of the year so far. B+ is actually underselling it. Brie Larson is phenomenal here. The first half of the movie is completely harrowing and intense, the second half is more sedate but no less emotionally involving. For those worried about the movie being depressing, I

Smallville is one of the most frustrating series I've ever watched. I was/am a diehard Superman fan, so was excited for this when it premiered (especially given the lack of good superhero stuff at the time). The problem here was that the set-up for the show was fundamentally strong (the Lex/Clark dynamic, etc.), but

Yes.

So, I may be the only one here … but I love the Scorpions. Not only their older stuff - their two most recent albums are also great - just classic, epic rock n' roll. In a world in which new, straight-up rock still actually got radio play, I'd have to believe that "The Best Is Yet to Come" from the recent Sting In the

I've been totally loving Lucha Underground. It gives me my fix of high-flying and hardcore matches and ECW-like crowds. But I love the produciton value and over-the-top storylines. WWE has always had a weird relationship with supernatural stuff, never fully going all the way with it. But I love how LU just goes all

These Gathering recaps are among my favorite pieces of AV Club writing ever. Bravo.
