Honestly I adore “Call Me By Your Name”. What’s happened with this man is... upsetting.

I hate to say this in this context but “Call Me By Your Name” is one of my favourite films of all time.

Maybe you are making a joke, but the Armand Hammer he is named after made his money in oil. He did buy some stock in Arm & Hammer as a joke, but the name is completely coincidental.

Hold on, slow down. There was a script?

It’s pretty insane! Adam Levine was too horny and he’s still out there making records.

He didn’t have a lot to work with given the terrible script, though.

Thanks for the shout out for the Art Department! It was a lot of work :)
Cheers from Prague

Stewart didn’t need to call Andrew Sullivan a racist, Andrew Sullivan answered the questions Stewart asked and came across as the out-of-touch accidental racist middle-aged white man that he is. Not being personally racist is all well and good, but you also can’t deny institutional racism, and the residual effects of i

I guess there’s just enough sci-fi bullshit in Severance to keep the suits at Apple from catching on to the message of “corporations are evil and working for one is miserable”

It’s actually pretty smart. I never got why so many concert films are released after the tour was over. A concert movie is basically an advertisement for the show; why not get it out there when people can actually buy tickets to go see it?

From what I’ve heard, Lindeloff did in fact first develop it as an original story, but then a friend pointed out it was close enough to Watchmen that everyone would call it a ripoff, so he went after the license.

I actually had to go back and check A.V. Club’s own reviews to make sure I wasn’t crazy. All A’s and A-’s. 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. Metacritic even has a “Universal Acclaim” graphic on the show page. William Hughes might have thought it was messy, but yeah, this was a weird forum for him to voice that opinion,

Yeah, I’d be curious to hear the argument for the show being “messy.” I thought it was amazing and really came together in the end.

Watched Hitman this weekend. It was good. Really showcased Powell's range and ability to act various roles, but in a fun way.

Hard disagree on the tonal shift killing the movie. The whole movie is about making dramatic changes... why wouldn’t the movie itself make a dramatic change and/or departure from what you’d expect?

(Why were the studios so confused about Ron being a fake hit man?)

I think they’re permanently dead on Kotaku, presumably due to their intention to fully cut humans out of the process, and also their EiC using comments to scream at readers.

The vibe from the variety article seems to indicate that Levinson is on thin ice. For now, they’re likely going to wait until October when he’s meant to submit more drafts.

It's because Levinson is the sole writer and sole director here. He doesn't use a writers room to even generate ideas. Levinson was also wasting time revamping The Idol even though it was practically finished. The the idol turned out to be shitty, so now nobody knows what to do, but they can't replace Levinson.

If this isn’t a bit, I think you misread that - by “time jump” they mean “we flash forward to a future time,” not “Rue is a time travelling detective.”
