Which random Internetter was it who pointed out that older people support their fandoms by... watching the damn shows instead of spending all their time fighting about them online?

That second one is actually the start of the episode, and the rest is all about him learning to not be transphobic, which the kind of people who post it always seem to leave out.
IKR. I was like “huh guess it kind of flopped huh, did it even get an S2... holy fuck what’s that now?”
The albumist (?) in me must point out that the most popular and well-known rendition of “Valerie” is actually not from Back to Black but rather from Mark Ronson’s 2007 album Version. A slower version of “Valerie” was included on a bonus disc packaged with Back to Black as a “deluxe edition” of the album, but strictly…
Yes, how dare she not act amused by an extremely lame, tired, cliched joke that wasn’t even slightly funny!
If this film doesn’t nothing else other than portray Blake Fielder-Civil for the piece of shit he was/is, it will be a success.
You didn’t touch the Supporting categories, but let me just say this: Rhea Seehorn wins Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series or the whole enterprise is BS. I mean, the whole enterprise is BS anyway, but come on, man. Give the lady her due!
Well, it’s not like we as a society are constantly accusing women of bad attitudes based on a brief sample of their overall demeanor. And I can’t even bring to mind any recent examples of people on the Internet seeing a woman react to a bad joke on an awards show and then en masse blaming her for something someone…
This whole list is off, but only 5 per category probably causes this weirdness
I’m genuinely surprised The Holdovers didn’t get a nomination for outstanding cast. Two of the three leads are among the favorites to win Oscars, and the third main cast member could easily sneak into the supporting actor category. That’s not mentioning the other cast members, who were all pretty great as well.
Clicks, my man. It is all about the clicks.
I don’t know if it’s the concussions or just some good, old fashioned, right wing indoctrination, but Aaron Rodgers used to present as pretty normal and even thoughtful.
Do you think Ben Affleck sleeps on couches now?
“The point very much remains that Black perspectives and Black stars in movies and media, translate to other cultures.”
I think the data we have challenges your argument, at least when it comes to this movie.
Maybe in some places overseas but I’m not sure the Chinese market has a huge appreciation for black films. And ‘the overseas market’ is absolutely dominated by China these days.
A $90 million budget, with a $40 million for marketing, is a huge amount of money to spend on a musical The Color Purple remake that does not have Spielberg behind the camera or someone like Oprah in front of it. Barbie’s not a meaningful comparison here. It’s also puzzling how the author says that the movie has done “…
Yeah why should a BIG TIME MOVIE STAR have to drive to work in gasp ATLANTA(!!!) like some kind of pleb?
This situation is not unique. “Moonlight” won Adapted with the Academy and Original with WGA, the distinction coming because the play upon which it was based was unpublished, but it was still an existing work that could be traced. It’s happened before, it’ll happen again. This is no different than calling a Batman…
Nothing surprises me since that time I guess it was the Emmys that decided that any half hour show was a comedy and any hour long show was a drama. So fucking stupid.
