Exactly. This weekend I re-watched Dune and Oppenheimer. Two long and very enjoyable movies.

Season 2 sucks. Season 3 is interesting but can’t touch season 1.
You are not wrong in your assessment!
You sure can! It’s just an observation I have about my fellow movie people.
The story was real hard to find in this one as well...
I feel you on that. However, there is a big difference between making a layered and fun movie where not everything is explained, but it has a clear story, with an emotional center, and a satisfying, if beckoning for more ending. That is Nolan in a nutshell.
It is my opinion that you can tell a real movie buff when they tell you that The Prestige is Nolan’s best.
Right. The Illusionist is very mid. I am convinced it’s only remembered today as that other magician movie that came out around the same time as The Prestige.
The Prestige is excellent! Possibly Nolan’s best film.
I saw Tenet in a small indie theater during the pandemic. To say I didn’t understand the movie is a massive understatement. I had no idea what the hell was going on almost the entire time. I had a really hard time tracking the plot, I did not think John David Washington was interesting or charismatic, and my main take…
That is a great take and something I hadn’t thought of previously. I was so blinded by hatred for that slut shamy jerk I couldn’t think clearly while the show was airing.
Agreed! Chris Lowell is hot. I like his instagram with all of his photography.
Or Big or Tray....
Not accepting the Rory/Logan pairing is to ignore Rory’s character flaws and failings.
I 100% agree with you about Jack in Ted Lasso season 3. The absolute low point was the Jack story line. I say this as someone who also loathed the Rebecca/Sam bizzaro pairing.
Exactly! The relationship with Claire exposed how deeply unhealthy the life Carmy has been leading for so long truly is for him.
“Favorite food is buttered noodles” had me laughing at my desk!
As far as I know, that was all child acting (on Nickelodeon?) which creates doubt for me.
The SuperBowl headliners are not paid by the NFL or network. They do it for the exposure and prestige.
I don’t agree. The pre-curser ceremonies are pointing to Oppenheimer v. Poor Things. Killers of the Flower Moon was a very average movie that was 1.5 hours too long.
