The AI is still there. Don’t know what game modes you played. They did make some changes. It’s a new game afterall. There would be no point if they kept everything the same. But if you want to focus on one bad change instead of the hundred good ones, then be my guest.

The shotgun in this game has the range to kill people at decent distance, but a rifle or smg will have a huge advantage at those ranges. Still longer than most games, though. At short-mid range, the mastiff (pump action) is pretty formidable.

It sounds like hyperbole, but the movement system in this game really is the pinnacle of what is possible in a modern FPS, in my opinion. A shame you’re not into multiplayer, because I think that’s where most the value in this game lies, but you won’t be disappointed with the campaign if you get it at a discount.

Well, I think you’re pretty alone on your feelings and I don’t see sources where they claimed those things you mentioned would be in the game. Most people feel they got more than what was promised in most cases. Also, E:D is quite a bit larger than Sim City, by a galactic margin.

They couldn’t have an option to play offline though. The game is too complex and large to store everything on your computer. They offered refunds to everyone who wasn’t okay with online only. AFAIK, they offered refunds to everyone who wasn’t okay with requiring an internet connection. What features were part of the kickstarter that were not implemented? So far they’ve delivered everything that was expected and more.
