I use very little soap, except in the nether regions and underarms. Hot water is the chief blessing of civilization, and not much else is needed.

I use no shampoo on my very curly hair, but I use conditioner and scrub my scalp to clean it and remove the itchy feeling. My hair likes this routine.

I tried the Garnier one and I don't like it at all. I have curly hair and when I'm done washing it, I don't want it to be 'squeaky clean' I want it to be slippery. I don't use shampoo, just conditioner. So, I think maybe they are not so good for curly hair if you are using the no shampoo method.

I started reading this site a couple of years ago, to learn what younger feminists are up to. I've been impressed by a lot of the commenters, but the site itself is hit or miss, and mostly miss. This is a huge miss. Your response is eloquent and on target.
