I am ALL IN on the Porg Cannibal Horror spinoff.

For all we know the porgs are cannibalistic and they jumped right on that thing the moment he looked away.

As long as you have high levels of Midi Chlorians you can be a Jedi. Its all about the Midi Chlorians

The reveal about Rey’s backstory is absolutely the most satisfying answer they could have possibly given us, precisely because it’s unsatisfying to Rey.

I think that’s kind of the point though...he set up the mystery to hit home the point that who Rey’s parents are don’t matter. It makes the lesson even stronger.

You mean like say... Emperor Palpatine? From the original trilogy?

Hi. I’m a person and I don’t care where Rey’s powers come from. I’m not sure anyone other than super hardcore, weird fanboy Star Wars fans really care. It’s not important to her story, really, and is the whole reason why Kylo said she came from nothing. Not sure how you missed that really.

My interpretation is that Snoke’s bluster is his own undoing. I think he portrayed himself to be all-knowing and all-powerful, but by underestimating Kylo, his arrogance turned out to be his biggest weakness.

It’s kind of ridiculous. I’m probably in the minority but I don’t agree that Rey’s family is a “mystery box” at all in TFA — I didn’t read anything in the film as suggesting Rey was anything but abandoned.

Yes. That’s one of my big hopes for the next movie, that Rey will build a new Jedi order that doesn’t make the same stupid mistakes as the last one. Like maybe ripping tiny children away from their families and turning them into magic space monks with no bonds to other humans is a bad idea.

Why are conservatives always so desperate to appear into Star Wars, and why are they always so bad at understanding its themes?

I loved it. It was poetic. Since the prequels, I’ve noticed that Star Wars has more cynical fans than it deserves (ironic [lol Palpatine], since ANH was made as an antidote to modern cynicism).

I feel like i’m the only one that liked that Leia scene. I thought it was beautiful and nice to see Leia is way more experienced in using the force than we thought, being able to use Force Stasis.

As someone who occasionally checks into Star Wars fan forums on sites like Reddit, I also kinda enjoy how much a certain set of toxic Star Wars fans hate this movie.

How else would you envision ‘using the force to pull yourself through the vacuum of space’ to look? Should she have put one clenched fist forward and done it superman style?

It’s long-term thinking on the part of the GOP. Imagine a world where Fox News and Breitbart are the only sites you can view on the “basic internet” services plan bundled with your Comcast service agreement.

It’s a shame that part of “making America great again(!)“ involves taking it back to a pre-internet state.

That was you??? We must’ve grown up going to the same arcades. Long time no see, dude.
Your pal,
S-E-X

They are, but they smashed their Keurigs a few weeks ago.

I’m 35 and still do that. No shame whatsoever
