You have a wild interpretation of The Last Jedi. Posted this comment somewhere else but I’ll repost it.

I just jumped to a random spot in that video at 4:30 to get a taste. He complains that Luke’s hologram power wasn’t set up in the movie. Which is blatantly wrong. In the first 10 minutes we see Snoke use the force through a hologram, then Rey and Kylo start to see projections of each other, then we saw water travel

How is the message “we win by saving what we love, not destroying what we hate” “steeped in deconstructionist cynicism”

Thank you! Everyone wanted Luke to restart the Jedi order when George Lucas made three Star Wars movies that were specifically about how the Jedi sucked.

Yo a character’s journey isn’t about the magic powers they learn it’s about the inner conflicts they face.

Call me crazy but I think the personal conflicts the characters face are what make the movies interesting not what faction is shooting who and why. TFA uses the barebones plot of a New Hope but the actual story is very different. Rey is an inverse of Luke Skywalker, she wants to stay on the desert planet. Finn just

TLJ is the only one of the new Star Wars movies to acknowledge the themes of the prequels. Not sure that's throwing Star Wars in the trash.

Man if you can’t see the difference between Finn’s Arc in The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi then it just seems like you are trying to dislike the movie.

Man these comments make me miss the old Io9 community. The commenters here use to enjoy watching movies instead of just screaming whatever opinion some pessimistic YouTuber told them to have.

Yeah it’s pretty wild to me that people can watch the prequels then The Last Jedi and not see the stark difference in quality.

Audience scores don’t mean shit.

I will say one take that is wild to me is that people think the writers only blew season 7. There was as sharp decline in quality after 4.

Hey Game of Thrones fans who still don’t watch The Expanse, you would love The Expanse. Space politics and explosions. The books were written by two of George RR Martin’s old writing assistants.

Yeah especially because villagers go to the museum so the action is already in the game. I guess the problem is the events are spread out over two weeks as opposed to be like Fourth of July when you would all just gather and celebrate the day of.

They did all celebrate bunny day but it never felt like the village celebrated it together. I remember on the gamecube version they would all be in the same area so it felt like all your friends had gather to celebrate together as opposed to just talking about how much they love bunny day off on a random corner of the

Yeah I’m with you. My only disappoint with the Animal Crossing events so far is that the villagers aren’t more involved. I remember in the original game at least all the villagers would gather together to celebrate the holiday and have a little dialogue about it.

Not to get completely off topic but it’s amazing to me how The Office’s mass popularity has completely killed the show for me.

Personally I think the whole point of that was that Drax needed to learn to stop judging people based off of solely what he sees. Much like how he can only take thing literally in the first movie. Note how he’s also a complete asshole in the first scene when he takes credit for killing the big monster they fight.

Also James Gunn said they used a ton of practical effects for The Suicide Squad which (I assume) means he could work with a smaller budget. Plus Dave Bautista totally seems like the type of guy who would love stunt work.

I know personally I just like to support movies in the theater if I can. Idk if it actually makes a difference but it feels like it might? Also movie theater popcorn.
