Just responding to your first point here but uhhh all super hero comics are meant for the child at heart. Also if you really thing Ragnorak, Black Panther, Infinity War, Guardians 2, or Civil War are “samey” and “insincere” then you just need to sit down and rewatch those movies with your brain turned on.

Yeah I feel like DC fans get super defensive but it’s like listen I want all movies to be good. It’d be awesome if DC had just as good of a movie universe as Marvel currently does. 

You said it all right here. Just to add on: Nobody cares about Xandar. It’s been proven in film that showing the destruction of “millions” isn’t near as effective as showing the death of one popular character. 

This movie combined the story arcs from 18 other movies and brought in like 50 characters who all got moments to shine and got into the ethics of trading one life for many. But please tell me what other summer block busters make this one look “serviceable”

This was the first time I’ve read one of these reviews. As someone who has never touched the source material I was very quickly annoyed at how he kept comparing everything to the comic. Like the show needs to be reviewed on it’s on.
