it was a joke about a fictional character who is played by someone he probably knows pretty well. Have you never insulted a friend sarcastically?

What the cast says shouldn’t really be a part of this argument. The actors were clearly making a joke. They obviously didn’t mean anything by it. Some people just aren’t as uptight about those kind of jokes as others.
