Just to be clear, I'm not saying they start every writer's meeting with 'Okay guys, remember to push fascism extra hard today'. I'm just saying that while all that fascist-ish stuff might be nothing more than set-ups, they practically always fail in bringing about the critical anti-fascist 'punch-line'.
Carter's

One doesn't exclude the other. Fascism and Captain America share some defining elements. There's no doubt about that. At the core, what makes Rogers Captain America is his physical perfection and conservative morality. Also, in Civil War, short of explicitly saying it, Captain America takes a stance against

Maybe, I'm not so sure about that. After all, they've killed the character off in the MCU and canceled the show. I think we're more likely to see Elektra, Jessica Jones or Daisy in a future Marvel movie.

Yeah, the difference being that her relationship with the pretty boy was purely sexual. He didn't set the physical or moral standard for how she related to other men.
And maybe Carter 'liked' Rogers before, but did she 'like-like' him? :)
I don't think it's a stretch to say nothing would have happened between the two,

What? Fascism? And, it was obviously meant to be 'could not' - typo.

Sorry, I just don't see it. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for strong female characters and if nothing else, Carter is that. But so are a lot of women in the MCU, and often with much more depth and nuance.
And the whole Carter and Cap. thing always bugged me. She could have cared less about Rogers, but then he got beefed

Also, Cooper is doing Preacher, a DC thing. Good luck getting him to do guest spots in the MCU now. They basically had to reboot the whole thing AND renegotiate international deals for a fairly large chunk of the MCU.

But is she really one of the best characters in the MCU?
If I'm perfectly honest, the main reason I watched it was because…. a hot, curvy brunette.
At the end of the day, it was a poorly written show, with a boring main character. I mean, it's not like the MCU lacks interesting female characters. Jessica Jones, Elektra,

…playing with a snow globe from the Overlook Hotel's gift shop…

Ok, let's see who nails the plot twist.
I put my money on: Soylent Green is made of people! Also, some more or less obvious rip-off of Identity/And Then There Were None.

This is starting to feel like the whole kitchen showing up at your table unprompted, to assure you there's absolutely no spit in your soup. 🤔

But these guys see their 'friends', girlfriends, lovers etc. (i.e. people) no different than the way they view and evaluate business cards. To that group, people are not persons with feelings and intrinsic value. People are objects, with purely aesthetic and functional value. Which is basically a psychopathic dynamic,

I always got some two sides of the same coin thing out of it. Despite Bateman being a psychopath, he still finds a place and some measure of succes/prestige in modern 'civilized' society. If he was living in a vegan commune, he would've been kicked out before he had the time to cook the beans for his championship curd.

I don't know. Seems like there's a thin line between social commentary and doing some guerilla-style newsjacking to promote your showreel.
Not that there's anything wrong with either. If this is nothing more than a marketing stunt, then hats off to them. It's obviously working so far. But if it's really about 'starting
