It's fob I hate. Don't want stuff in my pockets while driving, car can be started with keys on or around the car. Without having to actively use the fob to turn car off it's easy to leave it behind.
In Top Gear's X6 video at 4:19 you can see that all four wheels are spinning, so the problem is likely the performance tires that the X6 comes with are terrible off road, not the AWD system.
I HATE pushbutton transmissions. You can operate a transmission lever without looking at it. You can't operate a pushbutton transmission without looking at it.
The worst is when you see cars like a 1990s Accord where during the mid-cycle refresh the tail light shape was unchanged but the lenses/colors were changed. I've seen people with early models replace busted tail lights with those from the later model. Ugh!
It's just the way they're shaped. It'd look weirder if they had a tiny stripe of red plastic on the hatch or a tiny bit of extra metal on the body. The hatch is a natural place to make that right angle. They'd look really weird as giant blob taillights or thin stripes, so they did what they did and I think it works.

Fun fact: Honda rolled out their car-based "SUV" as the Acura MDX first (2001), before the Pilot's existence was made public (2003) so they could see if people liked it / see if it worked without risking potential damage to the Honda brand.
