I like the way anything to do with dark subject matter is seen as edgy material now.

I love the craziness of A Field In England but in terms of overall mood and effectiveness I don't think Kill List has been topped.
I don't think this season is as tight as Season 1, but fuck when it hits it exceeds the highs of S1, that fucking last shot at the end was amazing, with the constant montage of events in the last few minutes building up the tension amazingly creating this nervous anxious feeling I remember getting watching Breaking…
I only caught up on this show like a month ago but it was absolutely exceptional, I'm genuinely surprised it hasn't garnered more attention for it's direction and acting, especially Wagner Moura who definitely should have gotten some award attention.
"Why do you even use VHS tapes anyway, do you think it's cool? It's like a million different filters on Final Cut."
I'm loving the tone of the episodes ever since the prison reveal, with the first half seemed to have placed itself as more character driven, showing the characters at their most personal to then hit us…
The developers came out and said there main influence was Jonestown so I'm very excited despite how morbid that sounds.
MD was the first Lynch film I watched, it remains my favourite because of that scene.
Also the opposite of that, a scene built on genuinely unnerving the audience is the phone call scene in Lost Highway
"That's fucking crazy man"
I keep on hearing Lost comparisons despite never seeing it, but structurally it reminds me a lot of the Second Season of the Leftovers, with each episode focusing on different perspectives, also similarly The Walking Dead when it breaks away and focuses on different factions of the group.
I think structurally this episode makes a ton of sense, if Esmall didn't have anything for Elliot to do in this episode I'm glad he didn't shoehorn in some filler/padding just to have the character in it. I personally think Television should operate like a novel and not every character appears in each chapter and this…
Ok.
A friend was telling me how they all watched Whiplash in a group and there where these two friends who would always talk during movies, but everybody was enjoying the ending so much they literally screamed at them to shut up during the ending.
This looks incredible.
I think Chazelle has set himself aside as a director who creates these amazing set-pieces that channel pure emotion, like the crazy holy shit factor of Whiplash's ending.
I think the first two REC films are the best the found footage genre have to offer and make a solid double bill together, if anyone disagrees I will fight them.
My favourite scene in this week's episode wasn't the prison reveal, but the gorgeous church scene, the composition having Elliot stand against the You Are Not Alone sign with the amazing score in the background and the fantastic performances by Malek and Slater really show why I love this show, we don't need crazy…
I hope he has a nice meaty role in this one.
Guys could we all like watch Beasts of No Nation a bunch of time to get these movies out of the top 10 thanks.
(I originally typed "Beats of No Nation")
Mr Robot really loves it's one takes, the hallucination where Elliot was in a drug house suffering withdrawal, the end of episode 6 where he discovers Shayla's corpse in the trunk and the entirety of the opening of the premiere comprising of several one takes strung together.
Did anybody here actually watch to the end of the video cause he clearly does state that that was in fact the joke and it's more just a pretty good character study on Dennis.
This show is amazing for actually showing shit like that and trying to be somewhat realistic with it's "hacking"
It's better than one of the episodes of Arrow having some sort "HACKER BATTLE"
