Though the show is a surefire critical hit and maybe that's enough for it to retain itself on USA, i.e. them actually having something critically acclaimed and picking up awards.

Defo Seventh Seal vibes, with the whole talk of Elliot losing and him ending up in darkness.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how gorgeous this show is.
I was a little hesitant about Esmall directing every episode this season, but I'm really getting some Cary Fukunaga True Detective S1 direction going on, with each episode feeling like a part of a long ass movie and it being so confident with it's

Chromatics are so good, they did the Lost River soundtrack and the "Love" theme in that is gorgeous.

I've been watching the episodes on Amazon in the UK and was suprised at the show regularly dropping F bombs considering how censored it was when I originally watched it, the c bomb itself also caught me off guard as well.

I was watching the episode round the time the series came out and all I could think "She looks remarkably like the woman from Upstream Color" and then a quick IMDB page revealed I was delusional until I just checked there now realising it was her.
Why isn't she cast in more things.

Is Batman even apart of the Justice League Dark?
Also that "I've given birth to the devil" scene is fucking hilarious.

I heard they only wanted him for one appearance cause the guy was busy or something, I don't know how busy he is but I'd love him to occasionally pop up on every show. S1 of Constantine's on CW Seed so maybe they're testing the waters.

Maybe it's Supernatural rules

How could one woman be so on point.

Fuck it, this the most Guy Ritchie thing I've ever seen and I'm fucking in.

I don't know why but your comment about the trailer being like Straight Outta Compton is fucking hilarious to me cause the first half of the trailer is basically that.

Green Room and Witch have been my favourites so far of the year, but goddamn AV Club thanks for reminding me how many movies I haven't watched.
Also when seeing Green Room, a woman in the audience started screaming during the gun exchange scene, that's how effective that movie was.

I personally think Pusher 2's Refn's best film, it's the perfect blend of style and actual substance.

Pretty much, with the Doctor living his own version of Hell as well.

Even if it has been used a bunch of times in other fiction.

But what if he's experiencing his own personal Hell

This show doesn't get nearly enough credit for it's gorgeous visual style.

I felt like a lot of the season's been meandering, but this episode felt clearly focused and show's that all that character building and whatnot actually played off.
Also the Hell titlecard was overdue but immensely satisfying when it finally appeared.

I loved Last Vow but the Christmas Special definitely felt like a fuck you
