I had that happen TWICE on a plane that was trying to land at LaGuardia. We were going in on very foggy day got close and then went back up. The pilot tried it a second time which also didn’t work before ultimately deciding to land at Newark.

So here’s a question...who wrote the joke? Everyone is assuming that is was Rock but there is a not 0 percent chance that one of the Oscar writers did it. At the very least there is no way Rock would have been given a live mic without his material getting pre-approved.
