I want one!

Although I understand the inherent badness of deliberately defeating the existing emissions regulations, the total increase in NOx emissions is still small. I suspect the total lifetime NOx emissions of every TDI on American roads is equal to less than a single day of NOx emissions from all the heavy trucks on the

As a TDI owner... I really want to know when we'll know something too. I appreciate what VW did with their "goodwill package" but I still need to know if they're going to buyback my damn car.

Had to do some serious digging, but it is one of the awesome turbo diesels. The price is a bit high, but the car is beautiful, original, and will continue to run until the end of time. NP.

Still too soon. ;)

I agree completely. VW is bad for lying about polluting, and for polluting more than they are allowed to, but the overall emissions are excellent in every category except NOx.

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but I thought this called for an answer.

The demise of long range fleet defense aircraft can really be summed up in a single acronym - AEGIS
The Arleigh Burke class destroyers and our Ticonderoga class cruisers employing the AEGIS system with its phenomenal SPY series of radars and

Astromech Droid for in flight maintenance?

It was at the same time as Porsche Parade in Monterey, CA...

I was willing to break some personal rules and say NP until I read "welded diff" at that point it became instant crack bait.

I have 2:

First time, while showing off my newly running vintage Porsche 911 to my best friend I accelerated to it’s max speed (something like 110MPH) then uttered words that are seared in my brain:
“...and the brakes are amazing.”
I downshifted into 4th (which puts the engine WAY above the rev limiter) and pushed the

Nice car, but the 2.0 really isn't that much fun. Really they're asking classic 911 money for a decent 914/4 with a strange paint job. Crack Pipe by at least $15K.

This doesn’t really count, but in the spirit of ‘Busa all the things...
The gorgeous recreation of the Bugatti 100p airplane uses 2 x 1500cc ‘busas built by Radical Performance Engines in place of the original Bugatti Type 50P Straight 8s. (Original aircraft with Bugatti engines in picture)

An ok deal at half the price. Pure CP at $30K.

British Malaise, what could possibly go wrong?
She’s handsome, but I’ve never heard a good thing about the Jag V12 - this car seems to promise more reliability headaches than an Audi allroad. CP all the way.

Kilos are less capable because they lack the range, speed, and endurance of a US nuclear submarine. They are extremely effective within their limited mission set, but lack the flexibility and reach of US subs. As for what the Kilo was doing: they were firing cruise missiles from the surface. We can do that while

I’m a former US Navy Sonar Technician who served on a Los Angeles class sub. Diesels are slow and don’t have the range or endurance that nuclear ships do, but they are CRAZY quiet and have advanced sensors and weapons systems. There’s nothing antique about the Kilo. I’ll admit that they’re less capable than a US sub,

It makes more sense than you think to transition. The primary value in the Blue Angels is their ability to excite the public and drive recruitment. To that end - every bit of bad press, every lost show, every piece of an airplane that falls off - is in a very bright spotlight and under a microscope. Those minor

I always make hard lines for the tight bends and just use hose for the joints.

It has nothing to do with the pressure and everything to do with the resistance to ethanol. The FI hose simply doesn't get brittle and crack out when exposed to modern gasoline.
