Longtime aircooled owner - bug, 2 busses, 911 - I used that genuine German braided fuel line for years and wouldn’t use anything else because it just looked so right in the engine bay... However, I’ve had bad leaks in the engine bay of my 911 that were directly caused by that braided fuel line that was less than 2

I gotta call my self out. I got the year wrong. It was 2008. The official safety report essentially said what I said, but here is some scuttlebutt and pictures of some of the damage:

I just wish I had more information to share. I was working for Patrol and Resonance Wing 10 in Whidbey Island, Washington at the time. It was a Wing instructor with a squadron pilot training to be an instructor. Because nobody died and the plane didn’t crash, there wasn’t any public news about it. The pictures from

When I was flying the P-3, a 4 engine turboprop similar to a C-130, back in 2010 we lost an aircraft in somewhat similar circumstances. An experienced and qualified, but not proficient, instructor was doing 2 engine work with a student. Things happened, 90% human error, and the aircraft ended up single engine and

As a Porsche owner.... I’m broken hearted to agree with you.

My 911 takes about 10 quarts on a normal change and as much as 16 when I’ve had the engine out. :)

I get a lot of strange looks at the auto parts store.

As a proud OSU Beaver alum, and a masochistic former allroad owner (while living in Corvallis even!) I vote a hearty CP!

Don’t get me wrong, I bleed orange and all that, and I still love me some twin turbo AWD action, but the complexity, expense, and unreliability combine to make this an insane purchase at this price.

I'

I vote for my beloved Volvo XC 70 - 140K on the clock and it took me from CA to CT, via Utah and over the continental divide in CO with me, my Porsche, my bike, a thousand pounds of my stuff, a dog and a cat.

Totally looks nothing like a real MIG 31. However: it does look awesome. :)

I really believe the Russians make all the coolest looking stuff... it may not work quite as well as ours, but damn it looks awesome.

Hate to burst your bubble, but FireFox was about a MIG-31 (ish thing)

I won’t even claim to be impartial... The airplane I flew is the best! (EP-3E from VQ-1)

How about "White Death," the evil tasting powdered milk they make in the bug juice machines after you run out of "plastic cow?"

Last time I docked there was aboard the much larger aircraft carrier NIMITZ. We did not even come close to the memorial, and we docked at the pier closest to ARIZONA.

I hope it was some kind of equipment failure, because if it was human error it was both disgraceful and such an enormous failure of shiphandling that the

I find all GM interiors just awful. The cars aren’t bad, but their interiors are the anti-Audi.

How could you possibly exclude the glorified bus terminal that is Chicago Midway?

Only time I ever deplaned in the US and thought I may be mugged.

As a former P-3 pilot... that made me want to cry. I miss flying.

DAMN, Now I can't un-see that!

That was awesome. Made me smile. :)
