Except they didn’t actually use that tech, no? They tried, couldn’t get it to work, then used canned animations on a tight timeframe. At least that’s what I remember from the reporting.

I’m glad that FFVIIR gets the fact that in an inversion of their character designs, Aerith is the worldly extrovert and semi-cloistered Tifa is the introvert.
Isn’t resolution scaling the thing that would actually affect performance the most though? This is a game that would almost certainly be a better experience at 60fps at 720p than 35fps at 1080p.
I would be weirdly far more interested in this if it wasn’t set in the world of The Messenger, though that might be more of the fact that I don’t know if the tone of ironic detachment and casual fourth-wall breaking is something that can really sustain an RPG.
I mean, for their businesses, shutting down later on Friday/early Saturday versus before that means a huuuuuge difference for their liquidity and overall financial stability.
This never would have happened if they had just let the main character keep the butt window on his pants.
It was also, looking back in retrospect, completely impossible for the initial version of FFXIV to work on PS3 (the zones were too large). If they were ever going to release a PS3 version (which they pretty much had to) they had to redesign ALL the zones. Might as well do a ground-up reboot if you’re going to do that.
By far the best realized Final Fantasy of the 360/PS3 console generation. The main thing that hampers people going back and playing it these days is the absolutely GLACIAL battle speed. Especially in the back half of the game, random battles can take upwards of two to three minutes each (and if you just spam “A”…
Haha me too! But every so often he specifically references the fact that time passes! And Bobbins is very distinctly set in the early 2000s (Shelly’s clamshell iBook!) And the characters age! Noticeably!
Shauna is there in one of those covers, yeah?
So the timeframe in the Bobbins Universe is basically:
A note: This isn’t the 3D Lords of Shadows, it’s the HD version of the DS-game spin-off.
Something to note: The console and PC versions of Dragon Age were more different from each other than it seems on the surface.
Dragon Age was initially concepted as a PC-only game, and the console versions only came about later in the process. The game is significantly easier on console (console “normal” is about the…
Did Glory Holes shut down?
You legitimately could just remove gearscore from the game (all enemies are now “at level” and all gear is just without a level) and the game would simply be much better.
Is it possible to 3D print your alt’s armor with your main?
Something that’s on Analogue’s site but wasn’t really in the press release they sent out:
“Pocket is designed for FPGA development. We added a second FPGA dedicated just for developers to develop & port their own cores.
My impression was that the Serpent Guards were those like Dominguez/Amaru: locals who were all-in on Trinity and who Trinity had allowed to leave the valley to get an education at Western schools and universities.
Yeah, the “immersion” option was weird ... because the game went out of its way to also say all the people speaking English ... were speaking English.
It’s been a while since I played the game and it’s mostly washed from my memory, but didn’t they have the fact that all the guards (and basically everyone else) spoke very modern English as an indication of Trinity’s targeted cultural authoritarianism over the valley?
