Most characters in most movies are “only there to prop up someone else’s stories,” that’s why they’re called supporting characters.  Occasionally some of them are people of color, and in Tarantino movies they’re frequently historical figures.  There’s nothing inherently wrong with that.

I just keep trying over and over while I'm here at work and using the computer anyway. If it finishes, great. If not, I'll just try again later.

Kinda surprised Apple wasn't better prepared for this one. Not upset mind you, just surprised.

yeah, it did eventually. Just took a couple of hours

Currently getting the infamous "We'll Be Back Soon" page...

For starters, that's not really how averages work. More importantly, I think you need to consider things like families. Have you ever seen the lines outside of schools where parents wait to pick up their kids? I know I've been in lines like this that could last for an hour each day (maybe a half hour picking

My rule is to never lend money I expect back. There is nothing that will start hard feelings faster than someone who "forgets" to pay money back, so I just avoid it by only lending money that I don't expect to get back. That way, if I do get paid back it is great, if not it's no big deal.

Thanks for adding the "fastboot oem unlock" — Of course Lifehacker would leave out that kinda vital step. I mean, of course they would!

This is a much better guide! It's sad when users comment a guide that's better and far easier than the one posted. This is actually easier to read.

There's a link like four lines above that which explains what ADB is and how to install it.

Since everyone is asking:

do you think Andriod L will be availible for the Galaxy S5 or are they going to fuck us and make us get another phone?

If you don't know what ADB is then you SHOULD NOT install the preview. Period. You will seriously fuck up your device if you mess something up.

Personally, I actually very rarely feel the need to root my phone anymore. I have a rooted Nexus 7 that I'm using to try out the L release, but if I weren't using it for work, I'd be perfectly happy without root.

I'm firmly in the rooting camp, but I think most people here have that argument covered for me. Instead, I want to share an argument/tip for the more middle of the road crowd:

I also don't see a dismiss all notifications button. It is universally agreed among everyone I'm talking to that this must surely be a mistake and it will return before the full release.

Seems extremely stable and almost as smooth as Kit Kat was. I am blown away how stable this first beta is. Way better than any other first beta I have ever used. I think I will use it for my primary driver for awhile. If I find any breaking bugs I will update here.

Absolutely infuriating that they didn't release the preview for the 2012 Nexus 7 :/

Xposed will take a long time, if it ever updates. ART and Xposed do not mix well as Xposed is based off Dalvik's use of memory and compiling code each time. I hope they update though, Xposed it pretty awesome!

So far, I'm really liking it too. There are a lot of nice improvements—some of which we'll talk about tomorrow ;)—that are very welcome. Honestly, I think that despite the talk about a huge overhaul, Android users will be plenty happy with this, without it being too shocking.

You obviously do not live in Denver. The way parallel parking here works is
