my god. you...you...brilliant!

how does one become a personal assistant?

haha! this has happened to me before. it always make me smile when i 'promote' an admin/writer.

good points, but worth noting that many mobile providers do not limit/throttle upload, only download.

this is a problem at my school. we use catalyst control center (from ATI i think), and when this happens, there is an option "detect displays" that fixes it. many programs offer this functionality.

i believe microshaft has remote desktop for mac - in fact i'm positive they do...i just don't know how one would come about it. i believe it's included on the office for mac disks.

i don't know of any way automatically - that is, you can always use the manual controls on the screen itself, or the software program. if you find a way to automatically dim it with fullscreen apps running/certain programs, let me know!

it should be no different - the only thing you'll have to worry about is cable adapters. if your monitor takes VGA in, DVI in, and HDMI in (or possibly something else), you'll have to be able to get that signal. macbooks use (generally) mini display port out i believe, so you would have to buy a mini-dp to

Aaaaaand this is why @KatsumeBlisk is starred....

fuck. yeah.

exactly. should this be ruled as a physical key of sorts, which have been required to be handed over in the past, or should it be protected under your fifth amendment rights?

i hold my views with @kaeroku, however i completely see where you're coming from. Being someone with eidetic memory (mildly visual, heavily auditory), i sometimes slip into situations where i remember a detail or situation about someone that it's clear they would rather i have forgotten, and that everyone else has.

"Which is kinda where the home search warrant vs hard drive search warrant analogy breaks down. Their ability to execute that warrant hinges entirely on the cooperation of the person being searched. It's an interesting new issue.

Windows 7 search is great - better than any other windows search before, but yes, it still has it's shortcomings. with that, i have to agree with @luckycharms - hive five?

sincerest apologies. although i still can't find information about the actual process, it would appear the quality of the music is being marginally increased by this process, which i'm all for.

bravo. Seriously, this is bullshit. Granted, bullshit that will be great for the type of people who listen to their music from the white Apple iPhonies (earbuds) that have the sound quality of the speaker on my 4 year old Nextel phone, but bullshit nonetheless.

Not sure if it's been commented, but an easier way than all of these: turn on the opposite blinker to the direction you're going to turn. I.E., if you're going to turn left at a stop sign, put your right blinker on and turn left.

true - to an extent. Who are we to say that as future technology comes, it won't bring new advances in ways to access the wireless spectrum, or new wireless spectrum altogether. A good example would be HD radio. It uses the same FM bands that "regular radio" uses, but provides many more channels.

this. hearted.
