I agree with you so much! Also unless you are applying for a career job unlike me can't someone be applying for a job to pay rent, lets be honest here, I mean I have been a short order cook for years and burning myself consistently with fryer grease (2nd degree burns) isn't a passion of mine it is a necessity to pay

@SmarchHare

It sucks, but in this economy people can hire professional-level candidates for entry-level work. If they can pay a similar salary and get someone with more experience, they most likely will.

I especially agree with #2. How on earth do I get the experience needed for a job, when every single job wants experience beforehand? This was especially hard for me considering I had just got out of college. Before I went to college, everyone said that having a college degree was so important to getting a good

Just because I'm desperate for the job, doesn't mean I'll be terrible at the job. Well said!

Approved for honesty.

From an interviewee who has yet to make it off the bottom rung of the ladder:

Agreed, this person sounds like a classic narcissist. Unfortunately a lot of hiring folks are like this. They are jaded from all the garbage applicants they get (woefully under-qualified, wasting time), that they can't even bother with someone whose resume isn't an exact, laser-focused facsimile of the position

I gotta say, it's disheartening to read essays like this. It has a certain air of entitlement that makes me question the persons sanity. Really, you expect a resume tailored to your job posting and company, and an interview full of enthusiasm about past jobs, current jobs, and future jobs, with clear, exact job
