We did swap HDDs for SSDs a few years ago which helped immensely but of course did not solve the incompatibility issue.

Well, in the case of raw meat I’d actually prefer three or at least two layers. I end up wrapping the package in an extra bag myself to prevent cross-contamination of other items. The meat is usually in one measly cling-wrap prone to tearing. Getting salmonella or campylobacter etc. is hardly an ecological thing.
