Mom look how high I can jump!

Back in my day we had a better class of rich person, either driving a magnificent luxury sedan or a sports car like a 911. Now we have people spending 80k on a Tahoe that drives like a fancy U-Haul and that has such poor forward viability that every child or rock within a 10-foot radius is in imminent danger.

Interesting position that the article is written in, was there not a post a while back about Ford actually predicting that it would lose money on its EV division early in the game?

I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Americans are, generally, extremely overworked and underpaid. People are justifiably angry and frustrated about that. And instead of directing that anger and frustration at corporations and political leaders from both parties, we are directing that at each other because

And Max is just a better driver overall (not a particular Max fan saying that) and has a fantastic race craft. And he was unlucky with the safety car on Sunday.

I don’t think he has what it takes to beat Max, but I still want it to happen. Mostly to see the look on Jost’s face. Fuck that guy.

Loved the 90's era Trofeo variety as well. Simple and elegant.

1971-78 Oldsmobile Toronado with their ancillary tail lights mounted at ‘eye level’ at the base of the rear window. These predated the government mandated CHMSL by more than a decade.

I think the BMW Z8 tail lamps are still ahead of our time, despite the fact they’re from 1999

Second on this. I have always disliked the jarringly precise on/off that an LED gives you. As we make LEDs more and more like incandescent bulbs in terms of their light quality, it’s great that Mazda made them feel more like the real thing.

Current Mazda. LED’s that look like incandescent bulbs. Maybe not a marvel but they are really cool.

I nominate the last few years of the Lincoln Mark VII. That full width neon across the back end was very futuristic looking. The technology of using neon didn’t last, LEDs took that mantle... but it sure did look amazing.

BMW, for their invisible turn signals.

Late 60's Mercury Cougar with those sweet sequential turn signals that are now commonplace on mustangs:

Cadillac DTS.

No!! Black on Black on Black isn’t cool? This is very disappointing for me. I love that aesthetic so much and I’m a tool now... Well I suppose I was always a tool, but now I know it which makes it icky.

For some reason, people use my driveway to turn around in all the time. Why I don’t know. There’s nothing special about it, it’s no wider than the neighbors driveways. Maybe it’s because I don’t park in street in front of my house? Or the cars are garaged so the driveway is empty? Who knows.

How is the Tacoma not on there? It’s incredibly overhyped and popular but not very good at all.

Only a good guy with a gun can stop a... lost or confused person?
