I’ve heard various reasons why police chase vehicles for non-violent offenses, but the most reasonable one I heard was “because if we didn’t, everybody would run.”

Man says, “Doctor, I feel too coddled by this PC Culture. Nothing shocks me anymore.”

You would think a guy who is all about pissing people off would be HAPPY that it's easy to piss people off.

The early iteration of The Go-Go’s was certainly a punk band that favored diversity and tolerance

These fucking guys complaining about how they couldn’t do what they did back then now are just ruining their legacy. The punk explosion happened when it happened and it was exactly the underground counterculture the 70s needed but that’s not the case any more. Everything is different now and we don’t need a punk

Yes, it’s entirely possible that Captain America: Civil War will open up some ten-year-old to the possibilities of the medium. It is literally possible for any movie to do this...with the right ten-year-old. It’s a good reason not to forbid a ten-year-old from watching a superhero movie. It’s not really a reason

“glut of everything” can also describe the fact that great cinema is more accessible than ever. Right now, I can access films ranging from the works of Anthony Mann to those of Akira Kurosawa, from Federico Fellini to Sam Fuller. It requires my effort to do so and, when these items are not available, I can seek them

Those five issues are a psychedelic fever dream - the most visually striking Marvel tale in a long time.

what’s the difference between a baby and a bag of blow?
