Even a non-fan could re-auction off the clothing to a diehard fan and make money. So there’s also that.

OK - I just was reading a lot about it the other day, and as I understood it, it’s kind of a spectrum rather than just three specific options. Which makes sense to me as there’s so many different skin colors and variations out there. In other words, if 1 was cool and 5 was warm and 3 was neutral, someone might be a 2,…

Cool, thanks for the link!
Yep - I think some of it goes out the window depending on your lip color. It’s always so interesting how one color can look like an entirely different color on different people. I’m still on the search for a brick red that doesn’t turn maroon on me (NYX Alabama is close, but not quite. I still love it, though).

LOL - I own it. While the color is gorgeous, it seems to smear a bit on me :-( It is very much like Cruella in color, though. I was actually a bit disappointed with myself for getting Trust Me since I already had Cruella. I wish I’d bought another color, like that vivid blue-purple, but I was scared I’d never wear it…

It’d be a PIA if it wasn’t so fun to justify buying ALL the reds!

Can’t find your post - which one? Creeper?

A great true red that’s definitely in my top 3!

But some people do have neutral undertones - which generally means they can wear both and look good, though they may lean more cool or warm. Also, lip color can really skew things - despite having neutral undertones, I have very dark pink lips and some cool reds can look pink on me.

For the record: I never believed “the media” ignored her because I DID see articles elsewhere about her accomplishments. I’m only referring to the belief that some conservatives have that “the media” ignored her because she was in a shooting event. You are correct, many women in less popular sports were left out of…
Yeah - I thought about pointing that out, but it’s really not worth it sometimes.
OK, since it doesn’t seem clear to you - I NEVER said I had the expectation that a nurse would inquire about my well-being. I was just responding to what you said about bonding, and that it was not apparent to me that the nurses went very far in ensuring that was happening. I see now that you meant they were looking…
Sooooo - not a conservative. Have a ton of conservative family, and they were all posting about how the “liberal media” won’t highlight Kim Rhodes. And I do have to question, why have we not? She became the first Summer Olympian to win medals in six consecutive Olympics. Pretty badass, and not including her in this…
Wish I’d known this when some of my “OMG you should only homeschool” Facebook friends were posting, “Look where homeschool gets you!” stuff about Simone.
I was responding to you: “the nurse’s primary focus is on mother-baby bonding.” That was not my experience, as I know I wasn’t bonding with the baby and no one intervened.
That’s interesting - I didn’t feel like the nurses did much of anything besides press on my uterus and check my vitals and the baby’s and ensure nursing was going well. Emotionally, it was day and night between my first and my second. And with the first, I was a single mother who delivered all alone, but I was…
And no one addressed it - not my midwife, who I really liked. Not any nurses. Nothing. It saddens me, and I think our healthcare system could really benefit from having someone on hand to talk to mothers who have had potentially traumatic labors.
Yes, as I was writing this, I was wondering how mothers who have emergency C-sections felt. I suppose some labor for awhile before they are taken in for the operation, but others are rushed in due to complications. I cannot, at all, imagine having a baby (or babies) weeks early!
Fast labors are overrated. You want to be in labor, at minimum, four hours. It’s hard on the body, the baby and your brain when they shoot out of you. Signed - someone whose last kid came out in 33 minutes, start to finish.
Not to mention the shock that can delay bonding. I didn’t have any particularly bad physical symptoms from my 33-minute precipitous labor of my second child, but it took my two days to really reconcile that I’d had my baby, and another couple of weeks to bond. It can be fairly traumatic, mentally. Turns out that all…
