I came here to say that. I would have paid extra to delete the large screen and get physical HVAC controls. Which the base model has!

Seems like the best version. Screw the mega screen crap.
Were I in the market, this is absolutely the version I’d be interested in.
I agree with this. Early in the year I was looking at used Svartpilen 401's for around $3000, I was pleasantly surprised. Most of them are in the high 4's or 5's now.
Because the demographics of bike riders, hasn’t been affected.
Nailed it.
Buy a slow bike! I borrowed an R6 for an afternoon, and I know I'll never own that type of bike, because I'll get myself into trouble. But something with a much lower top speed gets you the fun, with slightly less chance of death or jail.
I think the used market is even better. Some used motorcycles are getting super cheap because people just need the machines out of their lives.
because motorcycles are fucking awesome. im getting rid of my 08 cts and replacing it with a much less terrible 08ish element so i can buy a 2020 rocket3 the dealer has marked down 3k for me. and my triumph dealer is one of the few in tx getting the new bikes in so tomorrow i get to check out the trident and speed…
Because when every day is just 24 hours closer to your inevitable demise, and there’s nothing left out there that’s worth looking forward to, any little bit of enjoyment counts as being worth the cost.
That’s one thing I forgot to mention, it’s REALLY loud unloaded.
There will be a gps and an rfid chip in them somewhere. So make sure to locate and disable them first. Probably more than one. And you’ll have to strip the uhaul paint and decals off. Actually, there will probably also be a serial number stamped onto it in multiple places too. You’ll need to find and grind them off as…
I rent one of these every motorcycle track day I go to! I really like them and they’re super cheap to rent for 2-3 days. I’ve exceeded the recommended speed limit many times and nothing bad has happened. It’s super easy to load and unload with just me. Though it helps that my bike is 350 lbs wet.
Coast was explaining that this is why some framebuilders switched their brazing metals (I think he said from bronze to silver)—the lower temp required meant less heat going into the steel and less deformation of the frame!
It’s $325! I was hesitant to take the dive, but it’s been a fun process and I’ve been learning a lot.
Raph can you tell us how much Coast normally charges for this repair? I’m not trying to figure out how much in the hole you are (we already know it’s vastly too much money), this just seems like a very niche market.
I know brazing can be very strong, I just always compare it to soldering. In my mind melting two metals together is better than sticking them together with a third metal.
“I’ll be slashing the fleet further whe..... Oh look! A Holy Grail Jeep Canhardly with the optional 7 speed manual gearbox with twin reverse gears, wood grain trim, rare puce colour and it only needs new front running gear, wheels all round, new head gasket, piston rebore, new sump and complete oil change after…
