Didn’t read a thing, no offense, just wanted to point out that if this destroys the cruise ship industry this will be, unintentionally, the best thing congress has done for the environment since the creation of the EPA.

Also, we have to be regulated when it comes to modifying our cars, but these smoldering garbage barges are allowed to exist? Good fucking riddance.
Fuck them for being petri dishes for coronavirus.
These floating sewage barges/ocean trash generators should fail. I know people have short memories, but I wonder if they will be able to attract back lost business when this calms down. I never understood the thrill of being locked on one of these for days. Now I can’t imagine who would take the risks going forward. Th…
Build ships in non-US shipyards? Fuck you!
“2003 Kia Rio (suspected O2 sensor, starter relay)”
It doesn’t in person. I’ve seen several, and it looks like BMW were trying very hard to make it look like a mid-engined car because of that windshield being so far forward and the roofline being long.
We’ve also got two paid-off cars, and I’d been flirting with the idea of buying new the last two+ years, but couldn’t bring myself to do it. 2008 hit my family HARD, and I’ve had a lingering sense of foreboding that kept me from doing a lot things with my money all at once even though I could’ve afforded it—new car,…
Car and Driver referred to the Sevilles in their review as “pre-vandalized”.
Don’t care. Owning an orphan car for the past 20 years hasn’t phased me in the least.
“This is why I was flabbergasted when the auto companies were resisting shutting down plants making cars that they were going to have to add enormous incentives on to sell”
Now that my contract is finally cancelled, I can finally talk about it: Until Monday, I was doing machine learning for an ad agency that Ford contracted back in 2018. Ford still has the contract, but the agency (I’m not naming them because they may want to re-hire me once this all turns around) is shedding a lot of…

Also, people don;t seem to grasp what the “end” of this pandemic means. The only true end is a widely distributed vaccine (assuming this virus can even be vaccinated against). ANY “re-opening” of the country before that point will simply start it all over again.
Case count figures are skewed only to those who have been tested. There are many who will be carriers whether they have symptoms or not and never be tested. Case # is a metric to look at, but if something like 30% of infected aren’t tested and therefor not officially reported, then it’s hard to full say what the…
Is this at all a surprise to anyone?
“In my mind, GM’s biggest marketing challenge isn’t whether it accepts government help or not, but making a single car outside of the Corvette and (possibly) Camaro that is remotely desirable.”
At least Mack’s takes were hot and correct.
3.3 million unemployment claims for the week ending on the 21st. Next weeks numbers will probably be as bad, if not worse.
