I think our high speed limits have something to do with it. There are many lower speed limit (35mph-50mph) roads in Europe, vs. the US where freeways are 70ish and US highways are 60ish to get anywhere. That was my impression when I was there.

1st Gear: Can confirm. Anytime that I had a Ferd rental car with SYNC I would actually try to use it, it would freeze up or fuck up within a matter of miles.
