There should be a countdown whenever people start loving a female celebrity and putting her on a pedestal to the inevitable day they call her out for something maybe even beyond her control and tear her down. I'm so sick of this same cycle again and again.

If you are told from the beginning that a child’s placement in your care is temporary and that the goal is reuniting the child with their biological family to pretend and convince the child otherwise is deeply selfish and irresponsible. In my opinion, that is a form of emotional abuse towards the child.

Aaaand the more I read and think on this, the clearer it is that these foster parents are trying to martyr themselves. Screw them, for real.

These people should have never fostered this little girl if they wanted the end result to be adoption. And they shouldn’t be allowed to foster again. This is not how you handle it, at all. I’ve never personally fostered, but I have friends and family who do. They are appalled at how these people have acted.

My thoughts, being a foster parent (albeit, not in California): The foster parents here are terrible. The native thing is really irrelevant here. Foster parents know that, though it can be shitty, child services is required to consider relatives before unrelated foster families. Apparently, these people were told…

I hate to be this cynical, but the degree to which that Facebook page (and the parents in their own words) are so hyperbolic and Christian makes me really side-eye any claims they’ve made. There’s definitely something else at play here.
