DBZ Kai is a “better translation” , but the original Funimation dub had better BGM aka Bruce Falcouner music and even though the translation wasn’t as good as Kai, it still worked for what it was. Because of these things, I’d say Kai wasn’t nearly as great as the original (if you take out the filler episodes).
