As a huge Muppet nerd, I actually really enjoyed it and it sidestepped all of the issues I had with the 2011 movie, along with simply being very funny.

Note that the link in the article to the Google Books page seems to be the "mobile" version and is fixed such that you can't zoom and is therefore really hard to read. Delete everything after "&pg=PA120" in the address and you'll have a much better viewing experience.

I believe it was for monetary reasons, namely the church wanted to dissolve any relationship with him so they couldn't be made to pay for his medical expenses.

What color are their hands now?

For all intents and purposes.

I totally thought the shiv victim was Gary Cole and couldn't believe they bothered to get him for such a nothing role. It was not Gary Cole, however.

He seems to almost exclusively play douchey hedge fund guys.

I think this may be my favorite episode the show has done to date. Just a solid, very funny episode of television. At this point I think it's safe to say that this is my favorite show that is currently airing.

Agreed, but I also think that we're probably a step closer than we were before. Once people see that the AFA doesn't ruin our economy we might be able to take more steps in the right direction.

It's the old "We can go to the moon, but we can't cure the common cold!" argument. There was a Jerry Seinfeld bit about how science had wasted all this time developing seedless watermelons instead of curing cancer, but obviously in real life it's not the same guys working on both things, and they're not mutually

Well, he's trying to reach young people to get them to sign up for healthcare, so it makes sense to talk to them on a platform they already use. And it was filmed in the Whitehouse so I'm guessing it didn't really take a hell of a lot of Obama's time.

Didn't Damon go on The Today Show or some similar program and make his comments? It's not exactly the same thing as a private citizen criticizing the president. Also I'll bet you a million dollars that Obama was responding to a reporter's question and didn't just bring it up of his own accord.

I don't doubt that it's serious. Similarly, dumb people were all faux-offended by the first lady saying "Young people are knuckleheads" on The Tonight Show. If these are the biggest complaints you have about the president, that's a big improvement over the last administration, IMHO.

The Sit F. Compkins

Yeah I mean, at the root they're all about people who are emotionally closed-off struggling to connect to their families (whether biological or improvised) after their lives have essentially been ruined, or are about to be.

As Anderson has said in interviews before, he's keenly aware that his movies overlap stylistically and thematically. He said he likes to think that all his movies "belong next to each other on a shelf."
