It’s so American to have a character like Jessica Hyde, whose whole thing is that she’s ‘in hiding’ and give her the most distinctive character design of the show.

I grew up with John Prine’s music. In Spite of Ourselves was my parents’ wedding song. His music will always remind me of road trips up and down Vancouver Island. Just John Prine and giant forests. I can’t imagine what his family is going through, not being able to be there, or honour his memory properly.

So, uh, Stephanie Hans was really inspired by Varric Tethras’s character design, I’m guessing.

My favourite little bit is Pearl just running down the stairs and picking up Amethyst to form Opal. It’s great physical comedy and a real testament to how their relationship has grown.

I just finished the season, and it hit me harder than expected. I’ll save the specifics for the review of the last episode, but it’s reminded me of why I found these books so significant to my development as a child and a writer. Leonard Cohen’s Anthem

The book is really ahead of its time. The prose is so poetic and the characters banter like they’re in a Joss Whedon show. It’s amazing how much and how little happens for such a short haunt? Now I find myself grieving that Jackson died so young and without the acclaim she deserves. Truly a master.

When I first played, I just swam everywhere. I looked a sperm whale in the eye before it breached. This is the kind of content I play games for.
