This is so rad, especially for anyone that hasn’t played it. I was reaaaally late to the Zelda party (grew up with Sega, then Playstation), with my first Zelda game being Phantom Hourglass. I played this guy only 2 years ago, and thought it had the potential to be such a great game, but

Thanks so much for this article. I’ve actually been trying to write heroe themes for a while, and while I’ve had some success, something like this helps a lot, as someone with boundless creativity but absolutely zero formal musical knowledge.

Yeah, I liked the earlier games, although I never finished one until Awakening. I got really far into the one that I believe was just called “Fire Emblem”, and really liked it, but got myself stuck on a map with an arena after training there for literally 4 hours, so my only option was restarting. It was

If we are talking about links in the real life, that is a very tricky subject. As far as in gaming goes, it’s difficult, because the only alternative is being worse at the game. Like, if I only “link” with the people I like, then choose not to pursue any other links (if that’s even an option), I am not rewarded in a

I can understand that. I think it was the forced dichotomy of social linking (which I wasn’t particularly into) and boring, randomly generated dungeons that did it in for me. If I could have chosen when to do one or the other, maybe I would have liked it a little more. I did sink something like 40 hours into it

All of this stuff is so odd to me; hopefully, for my sake, it won’t be necessary to max out relationships.

“Band gets signed without playing a single show.”

Man, I don’t even watch wrestling, and this made me a little teary-eyed for some reason.

They finally put Suikoden 2 up on the Playstation Store while they were working on the screenplay.

We’re on opposite sides on this one; I’m actually disappointed by how she appears to have JUST enough going on to not just be female Link. I am one of those that thinks it’s silly that we haven’t been able to choose a female Link yet, and was hoping this character would be our first taste—like choosing a female

I really, really liked the blue/red liked/hated list reviews I used to see employed here. It was honestly my favorite type of review I’ve ever seen, as it is MUCH closer to how an actual conversation about a game goes.

I did not fund Broken Age and was completely removed from the hype. Decided to play in on a whim while I waited for my brother to let me borrow a game the other day, and I really, really liked it! I was genuinely bummed when it was over.

How did you write backwards B’s?

This honestly looks really, really cool to me. Reminds me of Virtual-On.

You know, I actually forgot about them and will agree with you. I think Xerneas is perfect, although I think Yveltal does lean a little too far into “cool thing kid draws in his binder” zone.

I love a lot of the newer Pokemon designs—two of my all time favorites are new, in fact (Gollurk and Bisharp)—but damn if they don’t know how to make a tasteful legendary anymore. Everything is either overdesigned garbage or frivolous nonsense.

That being said, I did enjoy the fight scenes in Advent Children, and I actually really liked Crisis Core, save for the new lore/characters they added. For instance, Genesis, which is basically a cheesy anime DBZ move. Oh, so you know Sephiroth, the original Jenova-ridden, philosophical bad guy? Guess what? There’s an

It seems like you haven’t played Dirge of Cerberus, but it turned Vincent—the quiet, dark character that spoke only when necessary and never *tried* at all—into a one-liner spewing, faux-DMC Dante that shoots enemies over his shoulder while walking toward the camera. Literally the only thing they got correct was his

My biggest worry is that they will put some of the horrible sequel/prequel stuff in there. They fundamentally misunderstand what makes the characters great and how to expand the sort. They deserve to pay for their crimes against humanity for what they did to Vincent.

Thank you. This article floored me; me and my friends have always LOVED the ending to this game. Like we need some kind of scene where it shows that Cloud now lives in an apartment in Kalm. The good guys win, life lives on, the planet is healthy. Great ending, A+++++ would play again.
