I bet the people hating on inarguable-game-of-the-year Uncharted 2 are the same people that hate on Avatar for A) being popular or B) borrowing elements from many other stories, oblivious to the fact that the contents of a story are FAR less important than the delivery/execution.

I've said this before, but I literally defeated every boss (including the final one) with the stun gun. They all still died though, but it was hilariously easy.

In the shooter department for sure, but I think the only thing Japan is regularly panned on is having bad, outdated interfaces/menus and either having REALLY innovative games or entirely innovation-less ones.

Just to confuse you further, I'll tell you that 3 is the most critically acclaimed Suikoden, with part 2 being the fan favorite. 4 is the most lackluster, and 5 is pretty darn good, though lacks the charm of the originals, no doubt because the original writer/director/creator left towards the end of 3.

I'll definitely take just about anything over a pure cinematic, but the whole thing just came off as very underwhelming for my money. Might have needed a little more time to cook, but I understand that sometimes you have to have shit ready because Nintendo says so.
