oh god, i just wasted 3 minutes of my finite life reading this lifehacker article

I think the traditional ending to the bit is “film at [time]”, or “more at [time]”.

The question is where

One requires work and know-how. The other is cute and ready to use out of the box (which is itself a cute throwback to original packaging). And official. Not that hard to explain.

Nintendo won’t care all that much— especially since these classic systems don’t produce an installbase to sell additional software to. If they sell ‘em once, they’ve made their money.

We know a remote farm, in Lincolnshire, where Mrs. Buckley lives. Every Ju-ly peas grow there— do we really mean that?

Have it our way

I wonder if counterfeiters buy a real one, dismantle it, and try to set molds off of the parts. Otherwise I can’t fathom why they even bother replicating so much detail, albeit shittier.

So on that page you linked, at the top is a gif of a very punchable-looking man. Seeing that image first got me to imagine that the story was about him. But then the same gif was used as a reaction to the story, and now I am vaguely upset.

Metroid Zero Mission came out in 2004, so why have you not played a new portable 2D metroid since 2002? If you discount Zero Mission because it’s an updated remake of the first Metroid, then you can’t count this game as a new Metroid either, as it is also an updated remake.

It would be cool to see how many each would’ve sold if supply shortages weren’t an issue.

There will be bigger boards and bigger nails... soon they’ll make a board with a nail so big that it will DESTROY THEM ALL

His James Gandolfini was also pretty great, and the couple times he smiled his way through sketches as Lance Bass were pretty funny as well.

I think you make a great point here. Framing it in this manner gets me a little closer to parsing when/why an example of cultural borrowing feels acceptable or not.

I’d actually be rather interested in the “didn’t” and “finally” tag pages of Steam.

The image at the top of the article, especially as a thumbnail, looks a little unsettling.

Oh hi Tommy Tallarico

Nintendo’s already nearly doubled their production from 10 million to 18 million systems in an attempt to meet demand, but they can only do so much when they have to compete with Apple for parts. They’re trying, but it probably won’t be enough supply for the holiday season when it comes.

Sonic Mania just released today, and it looks like a triumphant return to classic Sonic for anyone who liked it, so there’s that.
