I don’t know what the limit is but I have used passcodes that are 12 alphanumeric characters.

update: I plugged the old 650 into the computer and it spent some time updating and I fixed an old issue or two with weird commands. ie some basic trouble shooting. The 650 seems to be working better. But after all these responses I am tempted by the smart control!

this is good to know. I am far more tempted now than I have been.

this may be my issue too. but I would like something idiot proof (on account of the idiot density of my home).

beep!? I want hotter / colder. It would be soooooo dope.

its a beauty. jumbo remote is hard to lose in the cushions i bet!

I have a harmony 650 and the reason I haven’t grabbed the smart control is because the 650 doesn’t just work. It works 75 percent of the time. 25% of the time you are hunting through menus to make it all better.

I don’t know if you are rich or not - but with ideas like this you should be richer. or very rich.

I feel like I’m okay with Google being pretty light on the desktop publishing features and just being a word processor. Maybe it doesn’t make any sense (or i’ve worked in a big organization too long) but, for myself, I like that I do the writing and send it to someone else, to use another tool, to do the desktop

It’s good - but not my favourite.

Hey we have one of those in town too!

Also I just want to say that I think this kid is a smug fuck.

given this kid’s investment history, I’d give better odds to him not having a million dollars in 10 years than to him still being a millionaire. Never mind him being a billionaire.

I’d guess the photo is real - but perhaps used some different hardware? or otherwise altered code to play the game?

I’m hoping they didn’t use for the purpose of surveying the movement - more visually identifying the movement. ie, we took the photo from here, and based on the relative difference of the position of the shore to the boulder we can guess it moved a few meters. If they were surveying it, they probably (hopefully) would

Okay fair enough. I overlooked that in your previous comment. It’s an interesting idea to me - about what would be the consequences of relying on marked, visible enforcement. I agree it would have better community relations - but I worry it would either manifest in lower adherence to traffic laws (and then higher

An issue with higher speeds is that if one needs to come to a stop suddenly the distance it takes to stop (or slow down) dramatically increases. That or if a vehicle is impacted at higher speeds more energy is transferred - thus the propensity for injury is higher (particular for people not in cars)

What are you suggesting they use the revenue for?

I generally disagree with you - I think the threat of getting caught keeps people from breaking the law when the law isn’t within sight. That said, my hope for autonomous cars it that they are safer than people driving - that we won’t need traffic cops because the cars will be travelling a safe speed. So with that, I

I guarantee every inmate in my cube farm knows that a cubic meter of water weighs 1000 kg. I don’t know if that due to the ease of the metric system, that it is a very basic physical science property, or if you just have experience with people with very little science literacy.
