Is the port bad? I've only played it on the iPad but love the game. Am I in for greatness if I play it on a real computer?

I agree. Civ rev seems quite a bit easier than any of the non-mobile options.

I'm with you on that one. All the trails and roads here have street lights - my bike light is generally so I don't get ticketed by Edmontons' finest - and to fill in the odd holes where streets lights don't cover. Anyways I use a $5 light from MEC (Canadian REI) that works well for cycling around town. Generally lasts

Do we get a very best giz comments/commenters of 2012?

Agreed. If you head over to a concrete plant some day with your forms ready and say that you want to use their waste concrete I bet you could get the concrete for free. At most a case of beer, but likely it would cost you doughnuts. And then you wouldn't even have to mix your concrete.

Of course there's limited applications - but this is rad. Maybe backcountry is the only place this might make some sense but still - so fvcking rad.

Harper did recently mention that he thought the current state of gun control is working - that it won't be tinkered with. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/12/19/pol-cp-harper-newtown-shooting-reaction.html

I agree. MSN did it too: http://now.msn.com/squeezing-breasts-can-stop-cancer

Anyone else have the video of the Sony watch load and have it turn the webpage upside down?

Andrew, check out primove from Bombardier at http://primove.bombardier.com/. Its basically a powermat to charge vehicles. Why is this not so absurd? A lot of places already install special concrete bus pads already and the cost of installing some extra power isn't that great. You charge your batteries a every few

I'm reasonably sure that you can but you won't get quite the same performance out of the video card as you would if it was installed in your machine. I think that you would still get quite the increase in graphical processing power. I'm pretty sure that it faces the same limitations as talked about in this

I'd be willing to bet that after 6 months you're better off drinking water straight from the tap than after its gone through the filter. In Canada at least, tap water is guaranteed to be safe, there are no laws related to filtered water.

If you're in Canada get the Kobo Touch for $100.

They jumped on the bandwagon and got a iPad - but they still don't trust purchasing things online with their credit card, so I'll be getting them iTunes gift cards and showing them how to use them.

that excites me quite a bit.

I think you'll still be quite happy. Enjoy!

Generally, just more lens selection.

Depends on what kind of airplane fuel it was. If it was 110 LL (110 octane - low lead - which is decidedly different from unleaded), probably all the people driving gas motors have to do is clean (or replace) their spark plugs as they likely will have some lead build up there. If they got Jet A fuel, they likely have

As a fellow Canadian, I feel your pain. Admittedly, I've done the dastardly when hosting a a large party and purchased one 26 oz bottle of Goose and several bottles of Kirkland Signature Vodka and kept refilling the Goose. No one complained. I feel a bit of shame about this - but I feel like it has confirmed my bias.

The most interesting story I've read on the history of Grey Goose. Mostly about the business & marketing before they sold to Barcardi. Take 10 minutes; read the story.
